City of Granville Hires New
Service Manager Karlain Drader

The City of Granville has announced its new hire, Karlain Drader, to replace Bob Bachmeier, Granville's former top maintenance worker. Bob announced his resignation to accept a position with the North Dakota Public Service Commission and his last day was June 4, 2010. He had been the city's maintenance worker since 1992. Bachmeier will continue to live in the Granville area with his family.

Bob said that he was grateful for the support throughout the years, "I have had the opportunity to work with many wonderful people and I will miss the warm welcoming smiles of our residents, both young and old. Be patient with the new recruit, as there is a lot to do and learn about the safe management of the city utilities."

Wyatt Bachmeier elected Lieutenant Governor at Boys State

Wyatt Bachmeier of Granville, son of Dale and Wanda Bachmeier, was chosen as this year's 2010 Lt. Governor at the North Dakota Boys State held a tthe North Dakota State College of Science campus in Wahpeton last month. Wyatt was sponsored by Granville's American Legion Post 155.
