Some Jazz Band Instruments

Awesome Opportunity for Granville’s Music Program:

The Towner Music Parents would like to invite the parents of Granville’s music students to join together with us.

I recently spoke at Granville’s Spring Concert regarding our organization and explained a few things that we provide the students in Towner and could easily provide the same to the students in Granville if the parents are willing participants.  All we need is 25 families from the Granville school interested in forming this group together.

So, please call me with your YES vote by July 10 th. My phone number is 537-5784.   By voting yes, does not automatically put you on a committee or on the board.  We just need you interested in making this happen.

A little bit about the Towner Music rents:

*  We purchase instruments and rent them to the students at a reasonable price.

*  We pay for the meals for students who attend Celebration of Music.

*  We give out a Senior Scholarship each year.

*  We give multiple scholarships to International music camp.

*  Assist music teacher when needed.

*  Serve Food concessions @ all High School home games.

* and the list continues…………….

We alone as an organization have worked hard to make so many great things happen.

IMAGINE, what we could do together!!!

Please feel free to call me with any questions and/or to vote, YES to make this happen.  July 10 th is the dead line as that is the time we start getting things scheduled for the upcoming year for concessions.  Each family would be asked to serve at 1 home game per year.  I look forward to hearing from you soon!!

Thank you, Lynnette Vollmer, President

With all the sadness and trauma going on in the world at the moment, it is worth reflecting on the death of a very important person, which almost went unnoticed last week.

Larry LaPrise, the man that wrote "The Hokey Pokey" died peacefully at the age of 93. The most traumatic part for his family was getting him into the coffin.

They put his left leg in. And then the trouble started.

NOW COME ON! You know it's funny

JUST A THOUGHT ...

INFLATION:

I LOOKED IT UP IN A DICTIONARY.
IT SAID: AND I QUOTE,
THE ACT OF INFLATING OR STATE OF BEING INFLATED. THE ABNORMAL INCREASE IN

AVAILABLE CURRANCY AND CREDIT RESULTING IN A RISE IN PRICE LEVELS.

SO I GOOGLED IT. SAID PRETTY MUCH THE SAME THING BUT IT TOOK 16 PAGES. I ALWAYS THOUGHT INFLATION WAS WHAT HAPPENED WHEN YOU BLEW UP YOUR BALLOON OR WHAT HAPPENED WHEN YOU ATE TOO MUCH CAKE.

MAYBE I SHOULD READ THOSE 16 PAGES. AND GET MY MIND INFLATED. THEY SAY WE ARE HAVING AN INFLATION PROBLEM WELL JUST USE A PIN AND POP THE BALLOON. SOUNDS EASY TO ME.

IN THE 16 PAGES OF EXPLANATIONS ON GOOGLE IT TALKED ABOUT INFLATION, HYPERINFLATION, DEFLATION, REGIONAL INFLATION, HISTORICAL INFLATION AND ASSET PRICE INFLATION. I SAY JUST POP THE BALLOON!

I REALLY DON'T FRET MUCH ABOUT THINGS OF THIS NATURE. I FIGURE IF IT'S GONNA HAPPEN, IT'S GONNA HAPPEN. HOWEVER, I REALLY GOT ANGRY WHEN I HEARD ABOUT THE BIG COMPANIES WHAT ASKED THE GOVERNMENT FOR BUYOUTS AND THEN SENT THEIR EMPLOYEES TO HAWAII FOR AN ALL EXPENSE PAID TRIP. OR THE CAR COMPANY WHO, AFTER GETTING BILLIONS AND BILLIONS FROM US, WONDERED IF THEY SHOULD SPONSOR A GOLF TOURNAMENT THIS YEAR. I THINK NOT!

WE NEED TO QUIT INFALTING THESE PEOPLES POCKETS AND POP THE BALLOON.

WELL I GOT THAT OFF MY CHEST. NOW I FEEL BETTER!

WE EXPERICNCED SOME GREAT LOSSES IN THE LAST COUPLE OF WEEKS. WE LOST DAVID BACON, WHO WAS THE KINDEST MAN I HAVE EVER KNOWN. HE WAS SO QUIET SPOKEN AND SO EVEN TEMPERED. HE NEVER SAID A BAD THING ABOUT ANYBODY.

THIS MAN LIVED THRU THE DEATH OF FOUR CHILDREN, HIS BELOVED WIFE, LOLA, AND STILL HAD THE KIND HEART GOD HAD GIVEN HIM. HE WORRIED ABOUT BEING A BURDEN ON HIS CHILDREN, HE WORRIED ABOUT LOSING HIS LAND IF HE HAD TO GO INTO A NURSING HOME. HE LOVED HIS KIDS AND THEIR FAMILIES SO VERY MUCH HE DIDN'T WANT TO BE A BOTHER TO THEM.

THERE AREN’T MANY DAVID BACONS IN THIS WORLD AND WE WERE LUCKY ENOUGH TO KNOW ONE. HE WAS A VERY SPECIAL MAN.

Page 5 - Granville Gazette

ALYCE KRAMER, ALSO PASSED AWAY THIS MONTH. SHE WAS A BIG INFLUENCE IN MY LIFE. SHE ALWAYS WORKED OUTSIDE THE HOME WHICH WASN'T DONE MUCH WHEN I WAS A KID. IF WE HAD SOMETHING TO DO AFTER SCHOOL WE COULD ALWAYS RIDE HOME WITH ALYCE. IF WE OVER SLEPT WE COULD ALWAYS GET A RIDE WITH ALYCE. SHE ALWAYS HAD BEAUTIFUL FLOWERS IN HER YARD AND A SMILE ON HER FACE.. SHE WAS A WONDERFULLY WARM AND INVITING WOMAN AND WE WILL MISS HER. SHE WAS ALWAYS READY TO GIVE A HAND, THAT WAS OUR ALYCE.

WHEN SOMEONE DIES THAT WE KNOW AND LOVE, THE THOUGHT ALWAYS COMES TO OUR MINDS, WHERE ARE THEY NOW AND CAN THEY STILL SEE US. I BELIEVE THEY ARE WATCHING OVER THE ONES THEY LOVED THAT ARE STILL ON THIS EARTH AND ARE HOLDING THE HANDS OF THE ONES WHO MET THEM AT THE GATE. IT’S A NICE THOUGHT AND ONE THAT I BELIEVE IN! ENUF SAID, JO

DANDELIONS

DANDELIONS ARE CHILDRENS FIRST BOUQUETS TO THEIR MOMS. THEY ALSO MAKE EXCELLENT WINE. THE ROOTS HAVE MEDICINAL QUALITIES. IF YOU CHOOSE TO DIG THEM UP YOU WILL FIND NIGHT CRAWLERS SURROUNDING THEIR ROOTS, BREAKING UP THE SOIL AND ADDING MINERALS AND MOISTURE TO THE SOIL THE YOUNG LEAVES AND OLDER GREENS MAKE GOOD SALADS. BIRDS AND RABBITS EAT THE HEADS AND STALKS. SO WHEN YOU LOOK OUT ON A FIELD OF DANDELIONS SEE THE GOOD THINGS. KEEP THAT IN MIND ABOUT EVERYTHING IN LIFE.

A busload of politicians were driving down a  country road when all of a sudden, the bus ran off the road and crashed into a tree in an old farmer's field.
The old farmer, after seeing what had happened,
went over to investigate. He then proceeded to dig a hole to bury the politicians.
A few days later the local sheriff came out, saw the crashed bus, and asked the old farmer where all the politicians had gone. The old farmer said he had buried them.
The sheriff asked the old farmer, 'They were all dead?'
The old farmer replied, 'Well, some of them said they weren't, but you know how those guys lie.'
