Read the Centennial Report

Granville, ND started with the Granville Township train station in 1886. Granville is named for the Great Northern Railroad civil engineer, Granville M. Dodge. The Granville post office was established March 31, 1888. Granville is an Old French name, meaning from the large town. The City of Granville, elevation 1521 feet, was incorporated 1907. Granville reached a peak population of 455 in 1910.
